Chaffinch Joins the Dougie Mac Business Club

We are delighted to announce that Chaffinch has become a member of the Dougie Mac Business Club.

Dougie Mac Hospice is a charity close to our hearts, and we are really looking forward to getting involved with the many fundraising events throughout the year and benefiting from the Club’s networking opportunities.

The Hospice was founded in 1973 and provides hospice services free of charge to adults, young adults and children living with a life-limiting illness in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. It also offers supportive care for their families and carers.

In 2021, the children’s hospice Donna Louise Trust amalgamated with the Dougie Mac, so their care now takes place across two sites in Blurton and Trentham and in the local community.

Chief Executive Officer Alastair Machin said: “The Dougie Mac does an absolutely incredible job, and we are, as a business, proud to be supporting it. The cost of living crisis and rising bills mean in the current climate, it’s even tougher for charities, so it’s vital that businesses get behind them and support the amazing work they do.  We can’t wait to get started.

Alastair said: “We can’t wait to get started, and over the next twelve months, our team will be doing all we can to raise funds for the Dougie Mac, which, let’s not forget, provides vital services to so many in our community.”

He added: “We’re also looking forward to the events and networking opportunities that being a member provides.”

In the build-up to Christmas, the Hospice will encourage people to take part in its Christmas Tree Cycle event (details to be announced soon), Christmas Jumper Day on December 13th, and Light Up a Life campaign.
